Let's talk drum compression. 

1.Bus Compression. You can hit your drum bus HARD for worship drums. This will glue them all together and add THAT worship drum sound to your mix.-5to -10db of gain reduction on your big snare and kick hits. I love the API-2500 and SSL Bus Compressor for this.

2. Parallel Compression Part 1. On the first parallel channel you’ll want to slam it getting at least -10dbs of gain reduction and having a fast attack and fast release. API-2500 is king for this.

3. Parallel compression Part 2. Again shooting for-10db or more of gain reduction BUT using a slowattack and a fast release to add sustain to each drum. I love using the Kiive XStressor.
